With its rivers, man-made waterways and natural lakes, not to mention the growing number of artificial lakes being created in its former opencast mines, Sachsen-Anhalt has more to offer the water enthusiast than nearly any other federal state.
Our state has joined forces with Saxony and Brandenburg as well as with the Czech Republic to take part in the binational project entitled ‘The Blue Ribbon’, which is intended to increase tourism opportunities for ‘weekend captains’ and those who just like to explore the waterways.
